What a lovely way of looking at things! And the grander train stations always have such a thoughtful use of light, they were made for a comfortable delay. I'm wondering if you've ever read Henri Nouwen's "A Spirituality of Waiting"?
This was beautiful to read, and such a timely message! I've always enjoyed Eleanor Farjeon's writing but somehow I've never come across People, Look East before, which was lovely to read and listen to.
Hope you will find your life partner & be married soon and have kids ! I will pray for you dearest Emma ! Wishing you all the best for this new year to come !
This is such a lovely thought-provoking post. Recently at our church a minister spoke on "Delays" in life and how it is during those delays that we equip ourselves with what we need not only for the next stage of life but also for eternity. We have to learn how to manage the waiting and use it for our benefit, enjoy the process too if we can, like the brides waiting in the Bible for the bridegroom to come. Your thoughts kind of remind me of that sermon.😊
What a beautiful station!!
They're so stunning - gorgeous train stations are definitely part of the fun of rail travel!
Thoughtful reflection! It's also great to see that you don't shy away from sharing your faith even though it's not everyone's cup of tea...
Thanks!

“Thoughtful use of light” - what a lovely way to describe it! I’ve heard of Henri Nouwen but haven’t read that - will have to look it up. 👍

I need to read more Eleanor Farjeon, I absolutely love that hymn!
